Band of the week - The Foreshadowing

1 week without a band? wtf? horrible weekend? did some goats knock you down? well sort of, lot of goats in punto fijo, but no I just got married.

Now talking about this band, they are from italy. It’s one of this intense goth metal bands I haven’t hear from a long time but the mood is just right and I feel I can hear it for hours and just embrace the daaaarkknessss.

band of the week - Consider the Source

A band from NYC, US. They play a really nice instrumental prog rock. I like to hear them when I am programming. It’s just relaxing, interesting and inspiring. (and I specially love those bases, fucking amazing!)

Band of the week - Ne Obliviscaris

A band from australia, these guys really sound unique, they create a great ambient in their songs that just traps you, the drummer is just absurdly fast at some moments and the quick changes all around their songs are just great. I love the guitars, I love the bass, I love the singer and even (EVEN) the violin sounds great! conclusions?

This song is really long so I’ll just post the only one they have in their myspace:

Band of the week - Veil of Maya

A band from chicago Illinois, they play a really complex death metal, they tend to go really straight at some points and symphonic at others. It’s a pretty nice mix and an amazing recording always makes it better.

P.D.: Thanks to Brian Simmons for passing me the band

Band of the week - Outcast

A band from France, they play a really kick ass technical death and they have a really good back up. Their sound is just amazing and really makes you want to bang your fucking head. I may have been influenced by their music while I type, that just says how good this band can get hah, Totally worth it!

Band of the week - Ihsahn

He is definitely one of the most talented composers out there. He was the founding member of the legendary black metal band Emperor and now is on his solo project. He is about to release a new album and I am pretty exited about it, if you don’t know Ihsahn please be my guest.

Band of the Week - Parov Stelar

They play an electronic jazz/funk that sounds retro all the time but I found it really funny, relaxing and enjoyable. Perfect music to drink some kind of piña colada and a sweet dessert hah!

band of the week - Cynthesis

A band from california, US. This band is not exactly a superband but they come from veterans in the prog scene, 3 members from the band “zero hour” and the drummer from “enchant” are here and that’s enough to expect a great album and of course they delivered.

Band of the week - Flying colors

A super band from NYC, the crew here is just absurd! they compose a pop rock music that is really sticky and full of beautiful details. I have to say I love the singer voice but the drums, guitar, bass, everything is just incredible. This is a (probably one time) album that everyone should listen even if not a music fan.

Sadly I didn’t found any song out there but here is a nice video talking about the band

Band of the week - Tesseract

A Band from UK, I have been hearing them for a while now and I consider their music a very unique mix. They tend to compose a lot like meshuggah without trying to explode your brains out, lot’s of classic progressive here and there and man, the singer… man he is amazing. I really love the mood he builds over this super complex compositions. Tesseract is defenitely into one of my favorites bands
